Shadowrun Online launches on kickstarter

Following the spectacular success of Shadowrun Returns our very own Shadowrun Online gets kickstarted today, proving to the world Shadowrun is here to stay. Having teamed up with Shadowrun Returns creators Hare Brained Schemes and Tabletop Publisher Catalyst to create the Shadowrun Universe site - the new home for all things Shadowrun - Cliffhanger now brings their turn based 3D Tactical RPG for Browser (PC, Mac) and Tablets (iOS, Android) to kickstarter in order to give the fans an opportunity to support the development and make the game their own.

The game has been in pre-production since earlier this year and Cliffhanger has ambitious plans to make this a project that stands out from the crowd. The player driven plotline will enable players to shape the development of the game's story by their collective actions and the story will in turn cross over into the pen and paper game timeline, giving fans the opportunity to shape the future of the Shadowrun setting as a whole.

Shadowrun Online will feature top quality 3D graphics and effects and enable fans to take on missions alone or in co-op or fight against other players in all-out faction wars between megacorporations. As players pick sides in the corporate wars, a corporations stocks may rise and fall and ultimately one of the megas of the world of Shadowrun will go down, based on the player's actions.

Cliffhanger also will work together with writers and artists from past and present Shadowrun editions to make sure we stay true to the setting and create great stories and graphics. Lastly, a joint plotline spanning both Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Online is planned to further connect all the parts of the Shadowrun Universe, making this a unique experienec for fans.
