[Request] Behavior
« on: August 30, 2011, 10:38:33 pm »
I have to admit, that I didn?t play the JA-games... but I still want to request this, when the game is in early-development:

Please don?t make the same mistake as some GM.
Let the enemies take cover, hack back, support each other, or retreat when friends drop or their health is low(in different variations depending on their "professionality")!

I bet many players feel this way, because throwing magic and hacking stuff isn?t fun when the enemies don?t react. ;)

I bet I don?t have to tell you... but I will anyhow. XD

If you?re looking for innovation and ideas, please take a deep look at SW:TOR! :)

I had the chance to beta-test it for a day(lucky a chummer was tester) and have to say, that it?s awesome to be able to... talk to people in stages, too, not just whack ?em or stealth by. ;)

I am starting to love the "face" more and more and it would be tragic, if faces were lost to this game... Just think about the leader/face of the group trying to talk their way into a some ork-gangs turf, while his chumz are eagerly waiting around the corner for him to let them in by the backdoor(or maybe even hoping for him to frag up a lil... :P ).

oh, be assured- our enemies are all about fighting back and using skills. we have a dedicated AI server for the game for that reason :)

the problem is, if the face takes forever to talk, the others may lose a lot of eagerness...anyways, we don't have a full 3D world, so this may be a problem. But "legwork" should involve a number of actions and talking

But will maps also involve talking(which is often needed in "non-corp" runs), or come down to "stealth or kill"?

we are really not sure yet - but honestly it is not too likely. too many complicatons, expensive to localize and lots of more work.
